Practical Information

Television: The digital cable TV system, to all apartments now offers a huge range of UK TV programmes (approx.60 and includes UK & BBC Radio) as well as Spanish TV (8), French (6) & German (50). A DVD/CD player is linked to each TV set.

Wheelchair access: The whole pool area has been re-tiled and this goes right around the building especially providing the elderly with a new sloping hard pathway from the car park to the back of the building. Free of steps, it leads to the entrances of the apartments where Apts.C & D are on the ground floor and access is up 2-3 steps. The Apt.C has a slope for direct wheelchair access.

Domestic animals: These (pets) are not permitted nor is music allowed around the pool (out of consideration for the other guests and for the neighbours).

Electricity for air-conditioning is meter-read & charged at cost (this also applies in winter where the same powerful units are can also be used for auxiliary heating if needed by choice).

Wi-Fi Internet etc. Wi-Fi INTERNET etc. Now upgraded to fibre optic and supplying 300/30mb. This super-fast facility has been welcomed by all clients. There is no charge for this 24-hour service which covers all apartments, garden & pool area.

Cots & high chairs can be hired at €18.00 & €12.00 respectively per week.

Car hire: We now strongly recommend SIXT for car hire at Alicante & Valencia (a large and reliable international car hire operator). Click here and go straight to the booking formula (in English) which then connects directly to SIXT who will arrange your reservation. A car is essential in spite of our proximity to facilities.

Parking: A large car park (invisible to passing traffic) can be seen to the side of the building (see aerial picture).

Group bookings: The complex can be let to family groups by special arrangement and, to secure this facility, such bookings need to be made very early. A bus can be arranged to bring groups from the airports (Alicante, 65km and/or Valencia, 125km).

Restaurants: Two detailed listings are supplied to all clients before arrival (one for the coastal areas, the other for our beautiful inland mountains).

Other features: Terra Mitica Theme Park is within easy motoring distance (a short hop down AP7 motorway) as are the excellent Aqualandia swim-park and MundoMar (dolphins). All three are just outside Benidorm. The fabulous new Science & Oceanographic parks (5000 different fish) at Valencia make for a spectacular day's outing.

Airports: We are approximately equidistant from Alicante (65km) and Valencia (125km) airports (hire cars can be arranged at both).

Sporting activities: Golf: We are ideally placed for golf - the nearest, Jávea GC is less than 8 minutes away. A 9-hole course, more difficult than it looks, has superb views of Montgó dominating Jávea (Green fees approx. Euros 80).  Towards Denia (c.15 minutes) is La Sella GC a beautiful 18-hole course. Further afield (c.35 minutes) there is an excellent course at Oliva (18-holes, designed by Ballesteros) and, south of Valencia, the famous 18-hole championship links course at El Saler.

Other activities include mountain walking or green bowling, rock climbing (notably in the Jalón valley) - or climbing our own mountain, Montgó, which overlooks Jávea.

Cultural activities: Concerts Costa Blanca - winter clients especially may be interested in our regular trips to the magnificent new opera house in Valencia and the Palau de la Musica.  We also promote concerts at the new Auditori Teulada Moraira (in Teulada).  Join our mailing list. Jávea also has a thriving amateur dramatics company Jávea Players.

Jávea is the gem of the Costa Blanca. Campobello is set in over an acre of splendid private gardens with pool, BBQ and dining areas (open and covered) and some magnificent palm trees. We are situate on the south side of Jávea bay in a quiet high-class residential area on the tranquil pine covered slopes overlooking the bay – up the hill to the right before the entrance to Tosalet. The great palms in the gardens are floodlit (May - October) and the pool has underwater lighting.

Easy access (a 12-15 min. walk) to shops, beaches, sporting facilities and restaurants (a listing is provided to each client - we have some 6 Michelin stars in the immediate area) which does not detract from our friendly villa-style environment and peaceful holiday location where children meet other children and can play in safety.

The Apartments:
These five well furnished, centrally heated and air-conditioned apartments - each with separate entrance and consisting of 2 or 3 bedrooms offer peaceful locations for holidays whilst being near to the seaside facilities at the main sandy beach at Arenal where there are copious bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. In effect we are about as near to the beach as it is possible to be whilst enjoying total tranquillity and thus avoiding the noise and hurly-burly of that area ! It can be walked easily although the return may be slightly longer if the meal was good ! We have a large off-street car park (invisible from the passing road - see aerial photo).

For group bookings the building has the capacity to accommodate 24 people (22 adults + 2 children max.) in five separate apartments although all apartments can be booked weekly and separately.

Each apartment has a large living/ dining area, separate kitchen & full bathroom (with bidet, shower & hair drier) and with balcony overlooking the pool and gardens.

The apartments designated B & D have three bedrooms (one double, and two twin-bedded) and are on the left side of the building as seen in the main photo (Apt.B is the upper one). The two-bedroomed apartments designated A (twin-bedded) & C (one double, 2 twins) are on the right side of the building (Apt.A is the upper one). All balconies are furnished with chairs and tables.

All bathrooms have shower, basin, bidet, electric hair-dryer & WC. All apartments are equipped with iron, ironing board and electric wall-mounted hair-dryer as well as the usual kitchen equipment & facilities including microwave, fridge with separate deep-freeze section, English gas cooker with eye-level grill for toast, coffee maker (& bacon sandwishes !).

NEW SWIMMING POOL: The 'kidney-shaped' pool (approx. 13 x 7m) has been completely re-built (Spring 2018) with underwater lights. The BBQ (and two gas BBQs for periods when carbon BBQ-ing is banned), pool surroundings and the covered area for relaxation, are well furnished for dining and relaxation as there are plenty of chairs and tables as well as sun loungers & sunshades. We offer air-conditioning, heating, new bathrooms, cable TV & DVD/CD, microwaves, new beds & bedroom furniture. A free 24-hr Fibre Optic Internet facility covers all apartments & pool area - a great advantage for property seekers. Campobello is ideal for family groups up 24 people (very advanced booking essential). The BBQ/pool area has been fully re-tiled.

The floodlighting of the palm trees and pool area runs from May to early-October.

Winter Lets: Long term winter lets are encouraged and following the fall in gas prices full central heating is being used again and which will be charged extra between mid-December until mid-March, when needed, at €22 for Apts .A & C (2-bedrooms) and at €25 for Apts. B & D (3-bedrooms).

Cycling in Jávea: A heaven for cycling enthusiasts. Jávea offers plenty of bicycle experience and is in a perfect position to act as a base for those wanted to explore the region. Useful cycling clubs are Club Ciclista Jávea, the Club Ciclista El Gurugú and Club Ciclista Xabia's Bikes all of whom offer the attraction of off-road cycling. A dozen dedicated cycling routes have been designed and developed by Guimar Remírez-Montesinos, a local and passionate female cyclist. Her routes allow everyone to enjoy the area's natural beauty. During the last year or so we have removed our rental properties from HomeAway/ Holiday-Rentals/ Abritel & Owners Direct due to appalling and grotesquely unprofessional conduct by that company.

Rental tariffs for the winter 2019/20 are set, as before, at €160 - €175 per week per apartment (see price list; incl. Xmas week for long term lettings) with heating being provided via the gas central heating system.  This central heating, when needed, will be charged extra at €22 per week for Apts. A & C (2-bedrooms) and at €25 for Apts. B & D (3-bedrooms).   The air-conditioning unit (summer) can be used also for supplementary heating (in winter).  In these circumstances the meter is read and charged at cost.

Normal domestic consumption of water, gas, electricity are included in the rentals.

Deposit: A deposit is payable upon booking of approx. one third on signature of rental agreement; the rental balance falls due 6 weeks before arrival. A returnable duration-based security deposit (£150 - 400 or € 200 - 500) per apartment is payable with the rental balance and is returned within 14 days of the end of the rental by Internet bank transfer.

Winter lets run from 2nd Nov. 2019 to 27th March 2020. Linen (including sheets, pillow cases, tea towels, hand & bath towels & bath mats, etc.) are all supplied and changed weekly and for which the nominal laundry charge of €10.00 pp/per week is made as well as a single contribution to final cleaning of €50.00 (rates unchanged for last 7 years).  The Xmas/New Year 2019/2020 supplement will be €60 a week per apartment (except to clients on long winter lets).

Family group bookings: Campobello is ideally suited for bookings for family groups but these have to be arranged well in advance in order to secure all five units.  If a group wishes to take only three (of the 5) units then it incumbent upon them to book the whole building for themselves (or any 4th or 5th clients from outside the group would be overwhelmed !).  At a maximum Campobello can sleep 22 adults and 2 children.  The 5th apartment (E) has twin beds and bunk beds in a small side-room leading to the kitchen and which are, due to lack of privacy, not suitable for adults. The booking charts should be examined carefully, please, to ensure that all available units are free for the period(s) desired.
